Previous Appointments and Affiliations

Previous Duke appointments and affiliations are imported from dFac (Duke’s faculty appointments system). Corrections and additions to this information must be made by your local dFac user on your behalf. Please contact your local Power User for assistance.

Use the text editor found in the Leadership and Clinical Positions section of Profile Manager to list any administrative, clinical, and/or leadership positions at Duke that are not formal faculty appointments.

Academic Positions Outside Duke

Use the Academic Positions Outside Duke section to list previous academic positions or visiting professorships at other institutions.
 
Academic Positions Outside Duke are entered in the Professional Training/Other Qualifications section of Duke's faculty database (dFac). If you wish to list Academic Positions Outside Duke, please provide the following information to your dFac representative or supply it to the Office of Faculty Affairs via this form:
  • Position Start Date (e.g. June 3, 2020 or 6/3/2020)
  • (if applicable) Position End Date (e.g. June 3, 2024 or 6/4/2024)
  • Institution (e.g. Cornell University, Baptist Memorial Hospital)
  • (if applicable) Department (e.g. American Studies, Department of Environmental Sciences)
  • Role (e.g. International Visiting Professor, Director of Cytopathology)
Academic Positions Outside Duke will now be displayed along with other professional training and qualifications entered in dFac in the "Academic Experience / Professional Training and Employment" section of Scholars@Duke.
