It's March Madness and time for a monthly roundup of new features and enhancements in Scholars@Duke.
New Features:
- Added three new sections to the "At-a-Glance" landing page of the Scholars profile: In-the-News, Recent Publications, and Recent Grants. These sections have always existed as subpages on each profile, but now the profile homepage will show the three most recent entries from each section (example). We hope that featuring recent publications, recent news items, and recent grants on the profile landing page will provide a more compelling snapshot of a person's current research and scholarship at Duke.
- Added thumbnail images for most In-the-News items that are imported from the Duke Today newsfeed.
Improvements
- Added the "Book Review" label to distinguish book reviews from other publication types in the publication list.
- Removed duplicate publication entries from the profile publication list in cases where someone has multiple roles on a publication (e.g. author and contributor, author and editor, etc.)
