May 6, 2024

  • Issue: Fellowships, Gifts, and Supported Research section not sorting properly
  • Status: Open
  • Problem Description:  Entries in the Fellowships, Gifts, and Supported Research section of the profile are not sorting in chronological order. We intend to correct this issue after some higher-priority infrastructure improvements.

  • Issue: CV exports using SOM APT CV Template may contain duplicate publication entries
  • Status: Open
  • Problem Description:  Profile owners who export CVs using the SOM APT CV Template may see some duplicate publication entries in the exported CV. The duplicates will not appear on the public profile, only in the exported CV. We have identified the cause of the problem and plan to release a fix after pushing out some higher-priority infrastructure improvements.


February 2, 2024

  • Issue: Bug with un-hiding course data
  • Status: Open
  • Problem Description:  Courses that are hidden and then un-hidden could take up to a week to reappear on the public profile. Other hides are working as expected. However, note that it might take up to 24 hours for the data to be hidden/unhidden from the public profile.

Resolved Issues

October 6, 2023

  • Issue: Some email and phone numbers marked as private appearing on Scholars 3.0 profiles
  • Status: Resolved
  • Problem Description: We have identified a bug where some email and phone numbers marked as private are still hidden in profile manager and the outgoing widget data feed, but are appearing in GraphQL and the new Scholars 3.0 profiles. Our analysts and development team are currently investigating the issue and an update is forthcoming once the appropriate resolution is identified.
  • Resolution: Issues where data marked as private was still displaying on profiles has been corrected. The email address field is now being displayed again in the contact card at the top of the profile. Phone numbers are still not visible in the interim.

  • Issue: Widgets feeds not updating for some profiles (leads to outdated information displaying on downstream websites)
  • Status: Resolved
  • Problem Description: In some cases, Widgets feeds are showing stale data (e.g. old position titles). In most cases, profile owners, delegates, or Power Users can use the "Force Widgets Index" button in Profile Manager to trigger a manual update to the widgets data. We are working to resolve this issue.

  • Issue: Data imported into Scholars from other systems is taking longer than normal to load
  • Status: Resolved
  • Problem Description: Changes made in dFac and SAP typically take 24-48 hours to load into Scholars@Duke. However, in the past week we are seeing much longer load times. This delay impacts both faculty data and organization data.

  • Issue: Some hidden sections are still appearing on user profiles
  • Status: Resolved
  • Problem Description: We have identified a bug where some sections of the profile that have been hidden by the user (i.e., Education) are still appearing on their profile even though they show as hidden in profile manager.
